Q. How did you hear about Etsy?
A. Well there has been quite a bit of buzz surrounding Etsy with my friends and coworkers. I knew several people at my old workplace who bought cute dresses and jewelry on Etsy. I always thought that Etsy was a place to buy handmade clothing and accessories until I investigated it myself and discovered a whole world full of talented crafters and artists.

Q. What made you decide to sell on Etsy?
A. I have always loved the thought of getting paid to do something I loved and Etsy gave me that opportunity. Before Etsy, I was a preschool teacher living in Southern California. My husband got a job offer in Northern California so I quit my job and have found myself currently unemployed. My husband encouraged me to try selling my stuff online and making a business out of it so here I am trying to make it happen on Etsy.

Q. How did you originally get into Handmade Paper Crafts?
A. When I was 19 years old my mom invited me to go to a scrapbooking party with her and it is there that I fell in love with paper crafting. I loved the idea of creating such cute and creative things just using paper and scissors. Ever since that day I have been hooked.

Q. What motivates and inspires you to create?
A. I am inspired by many different things. I could be walking down the aisle of the grocery store and see a magazine cover that used beautiful color schemes and I think that I should try that with paper or I could be passing a shop window and love the colors in their display, etc. I am also inspired by other people's work; it challenges me to work harder or to learn a new technique, etc.

Q. What are your interests outside etsy?
A. I enjoy going to the movies with my husband, taking walks, going to the gym, cooking. All of the normal every day stuff that makes life so fun.
