Thank you so very much, Galit, for taking the time to answer a few questions about your etsy business: Galit Barak Jewelry Designer - http://galit.etsy.com

Q. How did you hear about Etsy?
A. I knew about Etsy a few years ago, but never thought I can sell my work there as an Israeli. after a while I bought this pair of earrings (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=34332221) in art and craft fair, and notice the Etsy's url on Alona's business card, Alona (http://rafya.etsy.com) was kind enough to guide me with my first steps, Alona and I became friends, I started to sell and the rest is history.

Q. What made you decide to sell on Etsy?
A. I always loved to create, I drew and paint a lot as a kid, and major in fine art in high school. I started crocheting wire for jewelry making when I was a soldier (my job was to tour guide groups of soldiers in Jerusalem) and just couldn't stop creating my jewelry ever since. I thought I should give Etsy a chance and did not realize at the time the great values and opportunities that will cross my way.

Q. Which materials/process do you use to create your jewelry?
A. Most of my jewelry are crochet, using 14 karat gold filled and sterling silver wires. I especially love to combine the crochet with semi precious stones and pearls.

Q. What motivates and inspires you to create?
A. The most important thing for me is enjoying the making of the pieces, and thinking of new ideas all the time. I like simple shapes, and unique textures, colorful stones and people's feedback to my work.

Q. What is your secret of success?
A. Well, I'm not sure it's such a big secret, but that's what works for me: Quality items, original designs and good customer service.

Thank you very much, Galit, for this wonderful interview!
