Q. How did you hear about Etsy?
A. Very ramdomly, in a newspaper article... I spend a week or two just browsing and hearting but could not help it: I had to start my own shop :)

Q. What made you decide to sell on Etsy?
A. Since I just finished my bachelor's degree I'm currently looking for a job but the economy being what it is currently... I decided to use the time I was spending waiting for the phone to ring on something creative and useful... and a complementary income never hurts ;)

Q. What is your design process?
A. I have developed a few different patterns which I knit mostly from natural, handspun (by me!! ;) fibers and stuff with polyester or wool stuffing... eventually I'd like to make only eco-friendly toys :)

Q. Which materials do you use to create your knitted animals and how long does it take?
A. As I just said, more and more of them are made from natural fibers: wool, alpaca, bamboo (although my latest bamboo bear sold so fast I didn't even have time to list it on Etsy ;) I've also continued to use acrylic since some people (veggans, or people with allergy issues) prefer synthetic fibers. It takes me around 4 or 5 hours to spin (when needed) and knit the smallest of my little fellows, and sometimes two days or so for the biggest.

Q. What do you like most about being a seller?
A. I love being able to work on my shop whenever I want to, instead of sticking to a precise schedule. I'm a really creative person so I just love keeping my hands busy while watching tv or listening to music... plus it's always a thrill to open the computer and find out I've just sold :) I'd recommend it to anybody!!!
